Ultrasonic Flow Meter

AQ Measurement offers a selection of ultrasonic water flow meter including portable ultrasonic flow meter, fixed installation ultrasonic flow meter, and ultrasonic flow meter clamp on devices.  The liquid flow meter measures the velocity of the water in the pipe.  The flow is calculated from the measured velocity and the user input values of pipe diameter, pipe material, wall thickness, and type of liquid.   The portable ultrasonic flow meter is the most used type of ultrasonic water flow meter.  It offers the flexibility to be used on pipe sizes as small as three-quarter inch diameter and as large as twenty four inch diameter.  It comes with transducer sets which are strapped to the exterior of the pipe.  One transducer generates a signal which travels through the pipe and reflects off the pipe wall to the receiver transducer.  The flow is calculated as described in the previous paragraph and the flow is displayed in units of Gallons per minute, Gallons per second, Liters per Minute, or Liters per second.  The device comes with a carrying case, the display module, transducers, Velcro or metal straps, ultrasonic gel, and a tape measure.   The fixed installation ultrasonic flow meter is similar to the portable version in concept and measurement and differs only in that the display unit and transducers are meant to be permanently installed at a regular location and the display unit is more bulky than that of the portable device.  Similar to the portable unit, it can measure water flow on pipe diameters ranging from three quarter inch to twenty four inch diameter.   The ultrasonic flow meter clamp on devices are designed for a single pipe diameter.  As the name implies the measurement and display device clamp on to the pipe.  The devices are small in size and easy to use but each device works only on its defined pipe diameter.   The ultrasonic water flow meter offered by AQ Measurement are high quality and accurate.  These liquid flow meter can be calibrated at Micro Quality Lab in California.  Please contact us to assist you in finding he ideal device for your measurement needs.
